While a relatively new paper, founded in 1990, our Independent on Sunday archive is unrivalled and has a title from almost every Sunday dating back to the paper’s inception. The newspaper switched to full colour production in 2008 and generally sympathises with the centre-left.Â
If you’re giving the paper as a gift, it can be personalised by adding the recipient’s name, the occasion, and a personal greeting on the Certificate of Authenticity, which acts as a guarantee that your copy of the Independent on Sunday is a genuine original newspaper.
The Independent on Sunday developed a number of regular supplements, following the trend set by other Sunday newspapers. The “Sunday Review” and “ABC” (Arts, Books & Culture) magazines were published alongside the paper, and it also featured “Business & Money” and “The Compact Traveller” newspaper sections.
The paper was re-launched on 3rd June 2007.“The Sunday Review” and “ABC” magazines were merged to form “The New Review” magazine and travel coverage was integrated into the main newspaper. The “Business & Money” section also changed its name back to “Business on Sunday“.
On 16th March 2008, “The Compact Traveller” returned as a separate supplement. However, when the Independent on Sunday switched to full colour production later that year, the business and travel sections were integrated into the main section of the paper once again, and a new sports newspaper supplement was introduced.

Very well made, lovely gift for my dad's 80th.
I was a bit worried how this would be, as its a lot of money, but I'm so pleased I decided to order it. The order process is very straight forward, I went for the hardback copy in a presentation box for my dad's 80th and had his name embossed on the front cover and a lovely personal message inside. It arrived really quickly about 3 or 4 days and in perfect condition. I am very happy with the quality of the book and found it fascinating flicking through some of the pages. I know my dad is going to love reading this. Highly recommend, you won't regret it. 5*

Very pleased with this, just a little surprised that the majority of the pages were Daily Mirror front pages. It would have been nice to see a selection, albeit I realise there were not so many papers to choose from many years ago.

The recipient was thrilled by the gift of newspaper front pages from each year of their life. I gather that it was presented beautifully and the quality was excellent.
