  • What qualifies as a ‘back issue’ newspaper?

    At Historic Newspapers, we define a ‘back issue’ as a newspaper that is up to 9 months old. They are our most recent additions to our archive.

  • How much is a newspaper?

  • Are Sunday papers more expensive?

    No! We don’t charge more for Sunday editions.

  • What is the quality of the newspapers you sell?

    You can be sure that you’ll buy unsold newspapers from us. Our back issues are handled carefully and as such are in perfect condition.

  • Can I buy yesterday’s newspaper?

    You’ll always be able to order yesterday’s newspapers with us. Just bear in mind: We receive a delivery of back issue newspapers every Wednesday, therefore most paper dates ordered for the previous week will be sent out the following Thursday.

  • Where can I get older newspapers (9+ months?)

    If you’re looking for a paper older than 9 months, use our regular newspaper search tool to explore the 3m+ titles we have, dating back to 1900.

  • The paper I’m buying is intended as a gift. How can I present it attractively?

    We’ve recently added a number of fantastic presentation options for our back issues. Some of our popular options include a newspaper with a bottle of red wine or whiskey, or you can simply add a gift box for a thoughtful touch. You can select a gift pack after you choose your title in the newspaper selection tool.

  • Delivery

    We receive a delivery of back issue newspapers every Wednesday, therefore most paper dates ordered for the previous week will be sent out the following Thursday.

    If you’re ordering a Times, Daily Telegraph, Sun or Daily Mail on the day the newspaper is printed, they would be delivered to us the following Wednesday, not the same week they are ordered.

    Newspaper prices include delivery on a newspaper only.

  • Newspaper Research

    Historic Newspapers do offer newspaper research as part of our excellent customer service. If you’re after a particular title or article, our archivist will be more than happy to try and source it for you, for a small cost. To get a quote, you can email: research@historic-newspapers.co.uk
