London Evening News Newspaper Archive

The London Evening News saw its first publication in 1855, but almost became bankrupt before the 20th century even began. It became a more widely read newspaper when it was transformed in 1894, and circulation grew to 160,000 copies in the next year. Before it was merged with the London Evening Standard in 1980, the publication was the biggest selling London evening paper for years.

Our London Evening News archive is a very interesting collection that lets you explore original issues preceding the 1980s.
