1910 News Headlines

The 1910 news headlines were filled with monarchies and reigns coming to an end but also new reigns and new era’s starting. After his elder brother died in the late 19th century, George V was placed as the heir to the British throne. So when his father Edward VII died on the 6th of May 1910 George V became the King of Britain.

A major 1910 historical event happened in Portugal as the people had risen up against the monarchy, starting the 1910 revolution which ended up with King Manuel II being exiled and the monarchy in Portugal being abolished in replacement for the republic of Portugal. Another thing 1910 newspaper articles were sure not to miss out was the Union of South Africa declaring its independence from the United Kingdom.

Lovely old paper to read

Lavinia Bradley Trustpilot product review 3 star rating December 1 2020

Very disappointed. Only 3 pages and was very disappointed as it was to be a special gift but I have now had to go and find something else. It did arrive in a lovely box but as the box was virtually empty even that looked a bit ridiculous. If you had made contact with me and perhaps suggested an additional paper , I would have very happily paid for an additional copy of another paper.

    Thank you for your review.

We are sorry to hear this.

We will always provide you with your requested newspaper as it was printed on your selected date. As you have ordered a 1940’s date, during the Second World War, all newspapers were affected by the national rationing and therefore every newspaper only consisted of a few papers. The newspaper rationing continued until the early 1950’s. When you received your newspaper you should have received a card within the gift box to stating this information.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenienced caused.
